I’m going to be in Las Vegas for the whole of June and July this year, so I’ve decided this year will be the year for me to take part in my first World Series of Poker (WSOP) after four years as a professional poker player. I’m going to be playing several events in the WSOP, including the WSOP Main Event with around $8 million for first place along with some other tournaments at the Aria and Venetian.  

These probably won’t be the only tournaments I play all summer, and I’ll play some cash games as well, but these are the only ones I’m selling action to. I’m looking to sell up to 80% of myself to reduce variance and provide opportunities for friends and family to invest as well as fellow poker pros. 

I’m charging a very reasonable 1.25 markup to represent the fact that I expect to have a very big edge against the average player in the events I’m playing. There should not be any US tax complications pursuant to any money I make this summer since I am a UK citizen, but I can assure you any necessary obligations will be taken care of as quickly as possible in order to ensure all investors are paid back at the earliest opportunity and no money is withheld for tax purposes.

Many of the tournaments in the package include multiple starting days. In instances where this is the case, I will play the earliest starting day for which I am available. In tournaments where multiple entries are allowed, I will enter each starting day until I successfully make day 2. As a result, there is a very high likelihood that each investor will receive at least some of their investment back in unused buyins.

In terms of what you can expect from the investment, I have been working for a backer for the entirety of my professional poker career and have an impeccable record of trustworthiness and hard work. Your money is 100% safe with me and I can be relied upon to complete all payouts quickly and effectively with frequent communication before, during and after the events.

I’m extremely motivated to succeed in my first shot at the WSOP and have been working very hard on my game this year. I’ve racked up over $1.5million in cashes online (here’s my PocketFives profile) over the past four years and my chip winrate in online MTTs is in the range of 12 EVbb/100 at a roughly $50 average buyin. My game is stronger than it’s ever been, and I’m more confident than ever before that I’m ready to take on the WSOP and succeed. I exercise before every poker session, I meditate, I practice mindfulness and do everything I can to put myself in position to play my best game every time I play.

I’m a member of the coaching roster at Tournament Poker Edge, where I make poker coaching videos, write articles and host the Midstakes Living podcast, and have done over 750 hours of private poker coaching over the last two and a half years, during which I’ve done intensive study into the nature of tournament poker theory and fundamentals. I believe I understand these concepts better than 95% of the existing online player pool, and probably 99% of the live player pool. My track record of results doesn’t necessarily reflect my ability as a player and I’m very motivated to change that.
